We want to create a world that’s better off because we’re in it. Here’s a look at what we’re doing and where we’re headed.
We’re at work creating transparent relationships with our suppliers to ensure that our ethical and sustainability standards are being met. If we know more about where our ingredients come from, we can create a better future for our partners across our supply chain.
At our Eugene facility, our number one goal is maximizing efficiency when it comes to our waste, energy, and water usage. The facility is the first LEED-certified tea plant in North America, which means that it was designed and built with key sustainability metrics in mind.
All of our teas are packed into natural fiber, plastic-free tea bags and then shipped to you in cartons made from 100% recycled paperboard. We encourage you to compost your tea bags and recycle your tea cartons!
This is an ongoing journey for us. We’ve made progress — and there’s a lot more to do. We welcome you to continue the conversation with us @choiceorganicsproducts or via email.
We believe in the power of business to help solve social and environmental problems. That’s why we’re proud to be a Certified B Corporation. That means that unlike traditional corporations, we’re legally required to consider the impact of our decisons on all stakeholders — raising the bar for the standards we hold ourselves to when it comes to the impact we make.
As a member of the Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP), we partner with other industry leaders, NGOs and governments to improve the lives of tea workers and farmers around the world. Alongside our fellow members, we work with the ETP to develop long-term aid programs with tea communities – tackling a range of complex issues from public health to environmental sustainability.
